How to get

Approximately fifty kilometers away from Cagliari, Villasimius is well connected with the whole island and reaching it is really simple. Coming from Cagliari, you can opt for a suggestive panoramic road that gives a taste of the wonder that awaits the visitor at every bend, or for a faster, recently inaugurated expressway. Even for those arriving from Olbia, from Sassari, from Alghero, from Nuoro or in general from northern Sardinia, the advice is to reach Villasimius passing directly through Cagliari.

If instead you reach the island by ship, disembarking in Cagliari, the shortest way to reach Villasimius is the one that crosses the Poetto, which runs along a strip of paved land that separates the beach and the salt marshes and which turns right near a large roundabout continuing parallel to the coast.
For those arriving by plane it is possible to use public transport: the advice is to take a shuttle bus that takes you directly to Piazza Matteotti, in the center of Cagliari, from which the bus leaves and stops directly in Villasimius.
It is also possible to reach the coastal city by renting a car directly at the airport. In that case you have to follow the signs for road 554 taking one of the many exits for Muravera or reaching the Poetto and following the signs for Villasimius.
